NHS Eligibility

Persons who are unable to leave home unaccompanied because of physical or mental illness or disability are eligible for a fully funded home eye exam. iSight At Home Provide a wide range of spectacle and lens options. If you are unsure if you qualify for a free NHS funded test, please see below.

  • Aged 60 or over
  • In receipt of the following benefits or credits: Guarantee pension credit
  • Registered blind or partially sighted
  • Suffering from diabetes or glaucoma
  • Have a prescription for a complex lens Under 16 and in full time education
  • Over 40 with a direct relative who suffers from glaucoma
  • Considered by an ophthalmologist to be at risk of glaucoma
  • Working tax credit and named on a tax credit NHS exemption certificate Income support
  • Under 19 and in full time education
  • Income based Jobseekers allowance
  • Named on an NHS certificate for full help with health costs (HC2)
  • Child tax credit and named on a tax credit NHS exemption certificate
